Private strategy for indie fiction authors

You don’t need another rulebook. You need a plan that fits you.

I help indie fiction authors untangle publishing, organic marketing, launches, workflows, and the business behind their books—without forcing them into somebody else’s formula.

Fiction only. All genres + adult spice levels welcome.Friendly, professional, and openly AI-friendly guidance for indie authors.

Fiction is not a side category here.

It is the whole point.

AI-friendly · author-led

You never have to defend using AI here.

i2iHype is openly AI-friendly. If AI helps you write, publish, market, automate, analyze, or think more clearly, we can work with it. If AI is not part of your process, that is welcome too. The goal is never to force a tool—it is to build the approach that works for you and your fiction business.

For every fiction shelf

All genres means all genres.

The genre changes. The work of building a thoughtful publishing career does not. From closed-door to explicit and everywhere in between, all adult spice levels are welcome here. I do not work with splatter horror, sexual content involving minors, or illegal sexual content.

Why work with Dana?

A reader’s instincts. A business builder’s experience.

Hi, I’m Dana. I’m a whale reader—I read more than 300 books every year. I also have over 30 years of experience building businesses through online and organic marketing. Every business I’ve built has reached six figures or beyond.

I’m not here to tell you that you must rapid release, post every day, join a particular platform, or build your author career the way somebody else did. We’ll look at your books, readers, goals, strengths, boundaries, and working style—then build from there.

You leave knowing what to stop, what to fix first, and what is genuinely worth your time next.

Professional guidance, honest conversation, and no-pressure recommendations.

Reader-level pattern recognition

Reading 300+ books a year means I notice genre promises, series positioning, reader friction, and likely read-through leaks that a generic business coach may never see.

Proven organic growth judgment

After 30+ years in online marketing—and building every one of my businesses to six figures or beyond—I can help separate real growth levers from expensive busywork.

The whole author business in view

I connect the catalog, readers, positioning, email, ads, workflow, data, automation, and software instead of treating each piece as a separate problem.

Strategy built around the author

You will not be pushed into somebody else’s launch plan or content schedule. Recommendations have to fit your voice, capacity, audience, goals, and boundaries.

Read this before you apply

This is intentionally not for every author.

The application protects your time and mine. This work is most useful when there is already a published fiction catalog, real information to examine, and a meaningful decision to make.

This may be for you if…

  • You write and publish fiction in any genre.
  • You have a real catalog, including at least one published series with three or more published books.
  • You have a specific publishing, marketing, systems, or author-business problem to solve.
  • You are willing to share the catalog, reports, ad data, read-through numbers, and context needed for useful advice.
  • You want candid, no-pressure strategy—and you are prepared to act on it.

This is not for you if…

  • You have not published yet, or you do not have a three-book-or-longer published series.
  • You are seeking help with nonfiction, memoir, poetry, or a business that is not built around fiction books.
  • Your work includes splatter horror, sexual content involving minors, or illegal sexual content.
  • You want a guaranteed bestseller, guaranteed revenue, or a universal formula.
  • You want someone to validate a decision you have already made rather than examine the evidence honestly.
  • You are not comfortable sharing real numbers, reports, catalog links, or current marketing data.
  • You want fully done-for-you execution rather than a focused strategy intensive and written plan.

Available by application · introductory investment $727

This isn’t an open coaching calendar.

I accept a limited number of established indie fiction authors with a published catalog, a three-book-or-longer series, and a business question supported by real data. Approved applicants receive a private booking link.

The $727 rate is limited introductory pricing for this new fiction-focused intensive. My previous private automation-systems strategy sessions were priced at $900. The regular rate for this intensive will be $927.
